"The beauty of breastfeeding is that there's no right or wrong position, only the one that works best for you and your baby."

    Bottle-Feeding Positions For Your Baby

    • Cradle hold: the baby in the bend of your arm, with the same arm cradling the weight of their body. Hold the bottle with the opposite arm, and tilt the baby’s head up at an angle that helps the baby feed.

    •  Sit baby up: This position is helpful for babies who are struggling with baby gas or painful colic, or acid reflux. Lift your baby in a semi-upright position with your arm.

    • Place them in your lap: opposite you. Place your baby’s head against your knees while allowing his feet to reach your stomach. This is one of the best positions to feed your baby, allowing mother and baby to bond.

    • Side lying feeding position: the side lying feeding position is another excellent position for babies who have gas or reflux. It also animates the position a baby would take during breastfeeding. Place your baby on the side of their body with one hand and hold the bottle with the other hand.

    • Try using a nursing pillow to help you feed. Nursing pillows provide elevation and add comfort to the baby’s feeding position.
