Health & Fitness Data

Activity Data: Walking/running activity, daily goals, and activity insights.
Health Connect Data: Our app accesses information from Google Health Connect, specifically your Step counts (StepsRecord). This data is used to provide a unified view of your daily activity and synchronize steps recorded by other devices.

Friends & Social Data

Usernames, friend lists, and leaderboard comparisons if you connect socially.

Device Information

Device type, operating system, app version, and usage statistics to improve performance.

Track and display your daily steps.

Health Connect "Limited Use" Disclosure
The use of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use your Health Connect data to provide and improve the fitness tracking features of Footstep Champ. We do not use this data for any other purpose, such as advertising or marketing.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Information may be shared only:

With your consent (e.g., sharing progress with friends).
With trusted service providers (e.g., cloud or analytics).

Important: We do not share, sell, or transfer your Health Connect data to third parties, including data brokers or advertising platforms.

Your data is protected using encryption and industry-standard security practices to prevent unauthorized access. Health Connect data is processed locally on your device and only synced to our secure servers if you choose to back up your data or participate in social leaderboards.

You may access, edit, or delete your data from within the App settings or by contacting us. You may also withdraw consent for Health Connect access at any time through the App settings or the Android System Health Connect dashboard.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

The App may use third-party tools for analytics or sharing. These services follow their own privacy policies. We ensure that any third-party service providers who have access to your data also comply with strict data protection standards.
